About the Artist

Rachelle Valenzuela is a classical oil-painter living in South Florida. She grew up in a tiny town in Texas, where her passion for creating art began as a small child. That enthusiasm grew over her formative years, as evidenced by her rather large collection of drawings and paintings from her childhood.

While studying at a business college in Utah in 2014, she met her husband of now ten years. They have two inseparable little girls, a happy baby boy, and the most patient dog named Dello.

Rachelle began her oil-painting journey in 2022 with a fascination of classical oil paintings by artists she admired online. Her curiosity turned into practice as she learned to paint from home with online tutorials, a few online and in-person classes, and eventually taking a few months of private lessons. She enjoys painting still-life and is aesthetically inspired by early 20th century European and American classical art.

When she’s not painting in her home studio, you can find her traveling with her family, reading, puzzling, and continuing to learn and grow in her craft.
